We spent four days on the GOW guided by Eric from RAW TRAVEL. An awesome experience walking over a wide variety of terrain. From pristine beaches through coastal forests over ancient sand dunes and even rock hopping around the coast. This walk is moderately challenging but anyone with a reasonable level of fitness would cope well.
The vistas seen from GOW are certainly more numerous than those seen from the road. This is certainly a rugged and interesting coastline and is a great way to get right away from civilisation and get closer to nature. By day four we were so in the zone we did not want the experience to end. Reality came crashing back in upon arrival at the twelve apostles visitor centre which was a zoo overrun by tourists – argh! get me outta here.
This was a great walk well run by Raw with good accommodation at the Cape Otway lighthouse
